Career Story - Liselotte van Balen
Liselotte, an energy consultant based in our Oxford office, explains her experience at AFRY Management Consulting.
What is your role at AFRY, and what is your professional background?
I am a Consultant in the Dutch team based in the Oxford office, where I have been working for the past two years. During my time at AFRY, I have worked on a wide variety of projects in the Dutch market, including solar, offshore wind, sustainable heat, hydrogen, and CCUS. Before AFRY, I worked as an environmental compliance specialist.
What do you enjoy about working for AFRY Management Consulting?
The overall atmosphere in AFRY Management Consulting is great! We are all incredibly passionate about working in the energy transition, which shines through in our work. Furthermore, the office here in Oxford is incredibly international, with people coming from all corners of the globe. This makes it a fun place to work.
In what area are you passionate about making a difference?
I am particularly passionate about making a difference in my home country – the Netherlands. It is clear that the energy transition is moving ahead steadily, and it's great to know that through my work here at AFRY, I am making a positive contribution.
