The EU is driving the changes in legislation - in the future, packaging recycling targets and plastic reduction measures will be more ambitious. By 2025, 65% of all packaging is to be recycled, and the target for 2030 is even higher, at 70%. By then, all used plastic is to become recoverable.

Fiber-based packaging is very circular by nature, around 83% of the containerboard boxes in the world are manufactured out of recovered fibre based furnish, mainly using old corrugated boxes.
