Committed to sustainable mining and metals
At AFRY, we are committed to the principles of sustainable and responsible mining and metals. Our goal is to minimise the negative environmental, social, and economic impacts associated with these activities. We work to promote resource efficiency, reducing waste and adopting circular and recycling solutions, while optimising processes, managing water, and efficiently using energy and resources. We have worked on projects using methodologies that allow for identifying causes, evaluating consequences, and establishing prevention and mitigation measures in mining companies. This facilitates effective risk management and operational safety, with special emphasis on process standardisation to identify risks in operations. In this way, AFRY not only strengthens its commitment to safety and continuous improvement but also reinforces the focus on sustainability and long-term safety in mining.
