Symposium

The symposium, which accompanies the congress, has been prepared by the French Committee on Dams and Reservoirs. The theme is Sharing Water: Multi-purpose of Reservoirs and Innovations. Both technical and societal, this theme fundamentally touches on the role of dams in their traditional functions, such as water supply to populations, irrigation, and electricity generation, but also serving as flood protection, support of low water levels and more recreational uses. The event will provide the exchange of experiences on multi-purpose reservoirs and their adaptation to today’s major challenges of environmental protection and climate change.
