When
VENUE: Diergaarde Blijdorp, Blijdorplaan 8, 3041 JG Rotterdam, the Netherlands
Green ammonia is set to play a central role in Europe’s energy transition. The EU is targeting imports of 10 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen by 2030, with ammonia expected to be the main mode for overseas hydrogen transport. Large-scale uptake of green ammonia as a shipping fuel is also forecast due to its scalability, favourable properties versus other sustainable fuels, and existing infrastructure. Ammonia’s growing role as an energy vector, plus existing end use growth, are set to increase European ammonia demand at an estimated CAGR of 7% to 2050.
The 6th European Power to Ammonia Conference or “NH3 Event Europe” brings together ammonia experts from across Europe to discuss this role of ammonia in the energy transition, including insights on the business cases, technological advancements, and opportunities for ammonia.
