Dr. Marco Conrad has more than 20 years of experience in dam engineering, predominantly through international projects in Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe and is specialized in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dams with experience in the different RCC philosophies, methodologies, and their specifics.

Dr. Matthias Goltz has more than 20 years of experience in design and construction of hydropower schemes and dams, predominantly through international projects in Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. He is an active member of the ICOLD Technical Committee on Cemented Material Dams.

Magnus Löfqvist works as a project manager and expert in environmental adaptation of hydropower schemes and river rehabilitation. He has more than 20 years of experience in fields such as environmental flows, fish passages and implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive.

Helmut Stahl has graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich and more than 25 years of experience in hydropower and dam projects in Switzerland and abroad with a special interest and vast experience in monitoring and surveillance of dams: annual inspections and reporting as well as in-depth safety assessments for dams and weirs of various types and sizes.

Dr. Marie Westberg Wilde holds a PhD degree in Structural Engineering and has more than 18 years of experience in risk assessment of dams, safety evaluation, pre-studies, inspections with a focus on concrete dams and emergency preparedness. Marie is also involved in research and affiliated researcher at Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm at the department of Soil and Rock Mechanics.

Dr. Martin Wieland has been the Chairman of the ICOLD Committee on Seismic Aspects of Dam Design since 1999 and has more than 40 years of experience in dam and earthquake engineering. He has worked in 35 countries, on 115 dam projects and obtained his civil engineering degrees from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. He has authored 300 technical papers in the fields of dam and earthquake engineering and is an Honorary Member of ICOLD.

Lisa Bergensten is a consultant specialized in dam safety of embankment dams and tailing dams. Her experience includes works on feasibility studies, detail design and various inspections and site supervision. She has about 10 years of experience and has worked in many parts of Sweden. Her professional focus is dam safety related projects, and she has been involved in both refurbishment projects and in various risk assessments and analyses of data to evaluate embankment dams regarding dam safety.

Daniel Carlson Bjernald graduated with a MSc in Civil Engineering from Lund University in 2022 and is attending ICOLD as a recipient of SwedCOLDs grant for young engineers. He works with planning, design, inspections, dam safety evaluations and feasibility studies of predominantly concrete dams.

Stefan Ehlers has more than 20 years of experience in the planning, design and safety evaluation of dams, hydropower schemes and hydraulic structures. He has gained international experience on numerous large dam and hydropower projects in many parts of the world. Currently he is member of the Technical Commission of the Swiss Committee on Dams.

Anders Frisk, MSc, has a degree in applied physics at Umeå University and has more than 10 years of experience in hydropower, hydraulic simulations, and environmental flow analysis. He has mainly worked on projects regarding dam safety pre-studies, dam safety analysis and environmental adaptions to meet new regulatory demands.

Dr. Martin Gard, PhD, MSc, graduated in Civil Engineering from the faculty of Engineering at Lund University. He has more than 10 years of experience working with durability of concrete structures and 4 years of experience working with design and construction of hydraulic concrete structures.

Martin Hansson has been working on dam safety for more than 15 years. For about 10 years he was employed by a hydro power company working with various dam safety aspects. Today he is involved in inspections of concrete dams, courses, various practices for serious dam incidents for maintenance personnel, and early studies for upgrading projects of dams.

Susanna Jannung-Bolin has more than 15 years experience as a hydropower engineer in the field of dam safety, working in the fields of hydrology and soil mechanics, both as a specialist and project manager.
Her experience covers all phases of a project, from preliminary investigation and project planning to inspection and on-site construction support.

Dr. Harald Kling is a senior hydrologist at AFRY and has 20 years of professional experience. He holds an MSc in Water Management and a PhD in Hydrology from the University for Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria. At AFRY he is responsible for climate change impact assessments as well as the development of operational inflow forecasting systems to support hydropower operations, currently in use for example at the Niger and Zambezi rivers. At ICOLD he is a member of Technical Committee Y Climate Change.

Philip Kotrba, M.Sc. graduated in Mechanical Engineering and Business Economics from Graz University of Technology. He has 10 years of experience in project management, design of hydro-mechanical equipment, turbines, and power plant auxiliaries for both, new built and rehabilitation. He is also acting as technical expert in dispute cases.
