Begin with the end and “just in time learning"
How to evolve from list of mandatory courses towards “the-youtube”
Peter Lind, expert in Training and Education explains the importance of analyzing training strategy and efforts needed to achieve corporate goals as well as maximizing learning retention, motivation and problem solving “on-the-job”. The key is to “begin with the end”, use available technology and develop “problem solving” tests.
Today we need to create training for both formal learning such as Courses and Learning Programs, as well as for on demand and just in time learning, "I need this information now". To achieve this, the learning content and setups needs to be firmly set in Scenarios and Personas and, as realistic as possible from “learning parts” to tests. The technology is available and AFRY have the tools and knowledge to create full 360 environments with 3D/ foto/ video in VR and/ or AR that will make the learning environment to exactly what they will meet when they are on the job.

Gamification to increase problem solving
An effective tool to use to further increase learning and understanding is gamification.
By using the scenarios created in earlier stage, “problem solving” tests can be created, where we can use the learner behavior to adopt learning content and add actions where needed to reach the set goals.
Analyze and set a strategy
Most eyeopeners for clients and seminar participants are about the education strategy “just in time learning” and the effect that a deep analysis can make on outcome, result, cost and time. That they need to evolve from list of mandatory courses towards “the-youtube”. Peter highly recommend to “Begin with the end” .
By starting with the goal in mind, we can put the emphasis on valid follow-up and how to assure actual benefit from the training, that the receiver embraced the knowledge by adding I to competence and increased decision making ability, Peter says
