How we work with GPT models

The power of GPT-4

The release of the Generative Pretrained Transformer-4 (GPT-4) by OpenAI has already made headlines, showcasing remarkable advancements in artificial intelligence and natural language processing. This state-of-the-art language model has demonstrated unprecedented capabilities in understanding context, generating coherent text, and providing high-quality responses across various applications. From virtual assistants and customer support to content generation and language translation, GPT-4 is revolutionizing how we interact with AI and creating new possibilities for businesses, researchers, and everyday users alike.

OpenAI recently released the text input capability of GPT-4 via ChatGPT and the API of the service (with a waitlist), providing developers, businesses, and users the opportunity to harness the power of this cutting-edge language model [1]. GPT-4 also has the capability to accept images as input, which could potentially enhance the ability of the ability of the model to generate more accurate and detailed textual descriptions of visual content [2]. This feature is currently not available to the public.

AFRY, as a European leader in engineering, design, and advisory services, can help clients with this new language model. Potential applications include:

  • Conversational AI: GPT-4 can assist in building conversational AI systems by providing natural language processing capabilities that enable chatbots and virtual assistants to understand and respond to user queries in a human-like manner.

  • Search: GPT-4 can enhance search capabilities by improving the accuracy and relevance of search results based on user queries potentially tailored to a provided context.

  • Summarization: GPT-4 can automatically generate summaries of long-form content, such as articles or reports, which can save time and improve efficiency for clients who need to quickly digest large amounts of information.

  • Writing Assistance and Content Generation: GPT-4 can assist in writing by providing grammar, syntax, and style suggestions. The model can also generate content based on specific prompts or keywords, which can be useful for clients who need to quickly create large volumes of content.

  • Code-based Scenarios: GPT-4 can assist in creating code-based scenarios by generating code snippets based on specific prompts or requirements, which can be useful for clients who need to develop software applications or automate certain processes.

  • Reason over Structured or Unstructured Data: GPT-4 can analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns and relationships that might be difficult for humans to detect. This can help clients to make more informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

  • Translation: As an advanced language model, GPT-4 can assist in translating text from one language to another by providing accurate and contextually appropriate translations.
