ÅF Lighting wins a Surface Design Award
Story Wall does it again
We are thrilled to announce that ÅF Lighting’s project, Story Wall Eskilstuna, won the Surface Design Award 2019 in the Light and Surface Exterior category.
Story Wall won based on its playful and fun way of improving the appearance of a simple white tile surface, as well as the overall look and feel of the aesthetic design.
197 projects from 22 different countries were entered into this year’s Surface Design Awards. This is the 4th award nomination and 2nd win for Story Wall in Eskilstuna.
"We designed this colourful and interactive lighting solution by use of a simple but extremely effective technique. The solution is playful and accessible to everyone, and clearly it appeals to a broad audience. With Story Wall we aim to promote creativity and a sense of community for the citizens of Eskilstuna and I’m very proud of the extensive recognition we have received for this project" says a delighted Ronnie Eriksson, Section Manager at ÅF Lighting, who received the award on behalf of the team.

The winners were announced today, Thursday 7 February, at the Awards Ceremony at London’s Business Design Centre during the Surface Design Show.
