ÅF Sound & Vibration expands - now also in Norway
From September 1st 2018 the Norwegian team of acousticians in ÅF Engineering AS is part of ÅF Sound & Vibration. ÅF Sound & Vibration is one of the largest acoustic consultancies in the world, with over 110 acousticians in the Nordic region.
ÅF has designed, measured and advised on sound and vibrations ever since 1956, when Swedish engineer Stig Ingemansson founded his acoustic engineering company, later acquired by ÅF.
“With this long and comprehensive knowledge in the acoustics field, the Norwegian team has merged with a powerful acoustic consultancy. This ensures resources and competencies necessary for further growth within the acoustics field in Norway. Collaboration across borders is essential to seize new opportunities and we now have the competence and the resources to advise independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team”, says Enno Swets, Section Manager ÅF Sound & Vibration Norway.
ÅF Sound & Vibration in Norway currently consists of five acoustic consultants, three are based in Oslo and two in Trondheim. The team advices on acoustics, noise and vibration control within building acoustics, community noise and industry.
