AFRY Assesses a European Data Exchange Platform

According to the EU Clean Energy Package (CEP), consumers must own their energy data and be able to easily access and share that data.

Based on this requirement, all EU Member States must lay down rules regarding the management and exchange of meter data.

AFRY Management Consultants have been engaged by the Estonian grid operator Elering, in collaboration with TenneT in the Netherlands and Energinet in Denmark, to assess the benefits of a European Data Exchange Platform (DEP). This platform would allow EU and targeted member state countries to access a single, common portal instead of numerous national systems.
