As of March 2, 2026, Reta Engenharia officially operates under the AFRY brand.
The acquisition of the Brazilian company, a leader in project and construction management services with strong expertise in the mining and metal sector, marks an important milestone in AFRY’s strategic growth and continued expansion of technical excellence across the Americas.
AFRY announces the successful completion of the integration of Reta Engenharia into its operations in Brazil. Reta Engenharia now operates fully as AFRY, unifying people, processes, portfolio, and brand under a global platform present in more than 40 countries.
The integration follows the acquisition announced in July 2025 and reinforces AFRY’s position as a leading global provider of engineering and project & construction management services for the energy and industrial transition. By joining forces with Reta’s solid local expertise, AFRY’s enhances its ability to support the sustainable transformation of key industrial sectors across the region.
As a result of the incorporation, AFRY now employs more than 1,400 professionals in Brazil, significantly expanding its capacity while strengthening collaboration between local and international teams.
The unification of operations results in a more comprehensive and integrated service portfolio, spanning from feasibility studies, planning, project implementation, and project and construction management to the full engineering procurement and construction management (EPCM) delivery.
“Brazil is a strategic market for AFRY. This integration strengthens our ability to support complex projects from the earliest project development phases through EPCM project implementation until asset operation support services, with specialized teams working seamlessly across the full project lifecycle. By combining local expertise with a global perspective, we ensure technically robust, efficient and client focused solutions that contribute to sustainable industrial development,” says Nicholas Oksanen, Executive Vice President and Head of AFRY’s Global Division Industry.
Thiago Melo, Vice President of Mining & Metals at AFRY in Brazil, celebrates the completion of the integration:
“This is an important milestone for AFRY in the region. Together, we are now able to operate with even greater consistency, collaboration and innovation. Our integrated engineering, planning, project management and project controls teams work in a complementary way, ensuring high quality delivery aligned with client needs and generating value for our society not only in Brazil, but across Latin America”.
