AFRY partners with Unger Fabrikker to strengthen digital production capabilities
Building the foundation for digital production
AFRY has been selected by Unger Fabrikker to support the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the company's production site in Fredrikstad, Norway. The initiative will strengthen production management, traceability and operational visibility.
Unger Fabrikker is one of Europe's leading producers of anionic surfactants and the only producer of its kind in Scandinavia. From its production site in Fredrikstad, the company manufactures and exports surfactant raw materials used in household detergents, personal care products, institutional cleaning solutions and industrial applications.
Supporting a more connected production environment
The project is part of Unger Fabrikker's ambition to further develop its production capabilities and strengthen the connection between operations, production data and business systems. Through the implementation of AVEVA MES, the company will establish a stronger digital foundation for production execution, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

AFRY will provide expertise within MES implementation, industrial IT, system integration and operational technology. The project combines AFRY's experience in process industries, automation and digital transformation with Unger Fabrikker's deep process knowledge and operational expertise.

Building a foundation for continuous improvement
The first phase of the project will focus on implementing core MES functionality and establishing the digital foundation required for future development.
