AFRY Process Industries strengthens its presence in Italy
AFRY is expanding its engineering and project delivery operations in Italy with focus on the process industry sector including pulp and paper, chemicals and biorefining, mining and metals as well as other process industries. AFRY has been exporting services for decades for several process industry sector clients operating in Italy. At the same time, the company will open the new office in Lucca, Central Italy.
The expansion in the Italian market will leverage AFRY’s proven expertise in the pulp and paper sector, and to respond to the high demand for industrial engineering and project delivery services in one of the European most important paper industries’ cluster. AFRY has already worked in close cooperation with customers in the process industry sector in Italy and sees now a great opportunity to grow and deepen the cooperation also during the operational phase of the plant.

AFRY supports the entire life cycle of industrial investment projects, including project development phase studies, detailed design, project management and procurement services, as well as start-up and operational phase support services. The company provides all engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical and piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation, civil, structural and architectural services.
Stefano D’Angelo has been appointed to lead the business development in Process Industries Italy. He has extensive experience in process industry sector project deliveries, specifically in pulp and paper sector.
