AFRY provides Lender’s Technical Advisory services for a major wind farm in the Philippines
AFRY supported Alternergy Tanay Wind Corporation in securing a loan for the construction of a large-scale wind power project in the Philippines
AFRY has provided Lender’s Technical Advisory services for the Tanay Wind Power project, a significant onshore wind farm with a capacity of up to 112 MW located in Tanay, Rizal, Philippines.
The project is owned by Alternergy Tanay Wind Corporation (Alternergy), a subsidiary of the Philippine renewable energy company, Alternergy Holdings Corporation, and will feature up to fourteen wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of up to 8 MW, contributing renewable energy to the national grid.
AFRY conducted technical due diligence services for the Bank of the Philippine Islands and Security Bank Corporation, providing reassurance to the lenders and enabling Alternergy to secure financing from the said institutions.
With the signed financing for the Tanay project, Alternergy is one step closer to achieving its delivery commencement date by the fourth quarter of 2025. AFRY will continue in the capacity of Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) through the construction and operational phases, leveraging its extensive experience in wind power projects.
The Tanay wind power project is situated within the same province as Alternergy’s existing operational wind power project in Pililla, where AFRY also served as the LTA.
AFRY is proud to be advising the lenders on the Tanay wind farm project, which will significantly contribute to the transition to clean energy sources in the Philippines. With 30 years of experience in wind power and a portfolio of projects delivered in over 60 countries, we are confident that our technical expertise will positively impact renewable energy projects like this and position us as a pivotal partner for the project lenders and sponsors.
