Lexter and Efterklang are joining forces
Effective November 1 2020 we further strengthen our position within sound design and audio branding by making Lexter Ljuddesign, one of the world leading sound design companies, an integrated part of Efterklang.
Now, counting 130 specialists, we are a full-service consultancy helping our clients with their entire sound journey – from the very early phases of a project through the entire life-cycle. Our complete palette of sound and vibration services enables us to create unique and optimal sound environments, reinforcing emotions and encouraging collaboration, concentration, play, learning, and consumer behaviour.
“When we first met Lexter a couple of years ago, we instantly noticed that we shared common visions and values. We both put our customers first and we rate innovation and professional experience highly. Efterklang is a solid, trustworthy partner for all matters within sound, noise and vibration. We are creative and somewhat geeky but always fun to be around – Lexter fits perfectly into this! The combination of our teams will make that interaction of science and design even more vibrant and we will continue offering high quality creative solutions to our clients.” Says Zlatan Idnert, head of Efterklang.
"Through this acquisition we also get access to Lexters own developed digital platform TWANG that allows control of all sound content through the cloud. This means that the content always quickly can be adopted to client needs and that function is guaranteed. The content can then be adapted to utilization, temperature, time of year, or any other parameter. " Zlatan continues.
Established by Margareta Andersson in 2009, Lexter has gained an enviable reputation for their award-winning sound design solutions and progressive, crafted approach. They have established a strong international position within sound architecture, audio branding, sound content and conceptual sound design. Margareta is a highly respected and recognized authority in the sound design industry.
“Being part of Efterklang we now have a much broader offer of both sound solutions and related design and engineering services within the AFRY portfolio. I also foresee access to a richer project base and reinforcement of key skills.” says Margareta Andersson and continues: ”I’m really looking forward to this union and I couldn’t imagine a better fit culturally and professionally.”
Margareta will continue as sound architect and acting section manager at Efterklang alongside hers existing team. She will together with Efterklangs Sound Designer and Concept Developer, Martin Hallberg, continue developing our sound design offer with pioneering innovations and cutting-edge sound concepts.
“This merger further strengthens Efterklang as a leading sound design and engineering consultancy. And our common customers can continue counting on us to provide first-class sound solutions, but now with access to more expertise than ever before.” Zlatan Idnert concludes.
