Female Leader Engineer at AFRY 2024

Renewed partnership with the Swedish talent program Female Leader Engineer

Towards an inclusive future with equal leadership in the technology industry

The program aims to inspire more women and nonbinary engineering students to take on leadership roles in the tech industry, and we are proud to continue supporting this important initiative.

Female Leader Engineer is run by CoGig in Swden and targets female and non-binary engineering students in the final stages of their education.

"As an engineering company, we are part of shaping the future. For us, it’s important to create a future that reflects the world we live in. By inspiring and elevating women and non-binary individuals at the end of their studies, we believe we can accelerate progress in inclusion and diversity," says Sara Klingenborg, HR Director at AFRY.

This fall, participants will have the opportunity to visit the partner companies, gaining deeper insights into different industries and challenges, as well as exploring career opportunities after graduation. Last year’s visit to AFRY was highly appreciated. Participants met with our leaders and employees through panel discussions and networking events. Solving real-world challenges faced by our engineers sparked great interest, with 21 out of 25 participants expressing interest in working at AFRY in the future.

Applications open on August 11, and the program runs from September to November.

Our sponsor this year, Sara Lindstrand, Sustainability Director at AFRY, shares her thoughts on the program:

"At AFRY, we believe that representation matters—because if you can see it, you can be it. Through our partnership with Female Leader Engineer, we’re proud to help accelerate change and inspire more women and non-binary engineering students to step into leadership roles. I’m honoured to be this year’s sponsor from AFRY, and to continue championing equal opportunities in tech and engineering."

We are proud to remain part of this important partnership and look forward to playing an active role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow in the tech industry. Together with CoGig and other partner companies, we will continue to make a positive and lasting impact on the industry and society at large.
