About the award

The DARC Awards is an annual and festive award ceremony, which we were very happy to take part in, both as award recipients and with our light installation, ‘iMelt’, designed by our team in London.

DARC Awards is created by arc and darc magazines and Light Collective where all shortlisted projects have been chosen by an international jury of independent architectural lighting designers. Only shortlisted international lighting design practices and designers are invited to vote for their favourite projects making this the only truly peer-to-peer lighting design award in the world.

Under2

Under wins the Darc Award 'places, high'

We received the award in the ‘places, high budget' category for our lighting design at Under in Lindesnes, Norway.

Under is a restaurant located five and a half meters below the surface of the sea. The lighting for this unusual space is designed to “float” into the room where and when it is needed, mimicking the movement of the waves – a unique feature of our concept Liquid Light®.

The Musicon path wins the Darc Award 'Spaces, low'

We received the award in the ‘Spaces, low budget’ category for the Musicon Path in Roskilde, Denmark. This project was created in collaboration with Simon Panduro.

The pump track along the Musicon is designed to create an experience out of the ordinary for cyclists, skaters, and bystanders. The interactive lighting is designed to match the municipality’s desire to provide a playful ride, to invite people to use the pump track and put it into play at night.
