ÅF and Pöyry are now combined – new group structure and management team
ÅF AB (publ) (“ÅF”) and Pöyry PLC (“Pöyry) are now one combined company (“ÅF Pöyry”). Today, the new group structure for the combined company has been established and the new Group Management has been appointed.

The transaction was completed on 21 February 2019 and the integration of the companies has now commenced. Today, ÅF Pöyry established the new group structure for the combined company and the new Group Management has been appointed. ÅF Pöyry is also preparing to launch a united brand and a joint client offering during 2019.
President and CEO Jonas Gustavsson comments:

The combined company will operate in five new divisions; Infrastructure, Industrial & Digital Solutions, Process Industries, Energy and Management Consulting.
The new Group Management consists of people from both companies and includes the following members:

- Stefan Johansson, CFO
- Emma Claesson, EVP and Head of HR
- Nyamko Sabuni, EVP and Head of Sustainability
- Cathrine Sandegren, EVP and Head of Communications and Brand (appointed today)
- Malin Frenning, EVP and Head of Division Infrastructure
- Robert Larsson, EVP and Head of Division Industrial & Digital Solutions
- Nicholas Oksanen, EVP and Head of Division Process Industries (appointed today)
- Richard Pinnock, EVP and Head of Division Energy (appointed today)
- Martin à Porta, EVP and Head of Division Management Consulting (appointed today)
All members of the Group Management will report to President and CEO Jonas Gustavsson, and will assume their position as of today. Due to the new group structure Lennart Waldenström, EVP Head of Digital Solutions, Peter Plug, EVP and Head of Energy Division and Jonas Larsson, EVP and Head of M&A and Business Development will leave Group Management and continue in other positions within the combined company. Group Management members not previously part of the ÅF management team are presented more in detail below.
About Nicholas Oksanen
Previous positions: President, Industry Business Group and Executive Vice President at Pöyry. Joined Pöyry in 1993 and has held different positions within the company since.
Education: M.Sc. Paper Technology and Economics, Helsinki University of Technology, Finland.
Born 1967, Finnish citizen.
About Richard Pinnock
Previous positions: President, Energy Business Group and Executive Vice President at Pöyry. Joined Pöyry in 1997. Before that, experience from working at Eskom in South Africa and at UCI International, Germany.
Education: B.Comm. (Hons), University of South Africa, South Africa, B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and LPSF Executive Programme, Harvard Business School, USA.
Born 1962, South African citizen.
About Martin à Porta
Previous positions: President and CEO and President Management Consulting Business Group (acting) at Pöyry. Joined Pöyry in 2015. Before that, experience from working in different leadership positions at Siemens, which he joined in 2001.
Education: MSc. Engineering, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Switzerland.
Born 1970, Swiss citizen.
About Cathrine Sandegren
Previous positions: Corporate, IR and Internal Communication manager at ÅF. Joined ÅF in 2016. Before that, experience from working as Corporate Communications Manager at SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and as communicator at Avega Group and Maersk Group.
Education: Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
Born 1977, Swedish citizen.
