ÅF Pöyry wins new order from Oatly in the Netherlands

Fri, 15/11/2019 - 09:15 CET

ÅF Pöyry has signed a new contract with the food manufacturer Oatly. ÅF Pöyry will deliver two new process lines to Oatly’s production plant in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. The order is a turn-key project. The plant in Vlissingen produces the oat base, which is the basic ingredient for Oatly’s products.

The contract covers an extension of the current process lines set-up, with two new process lines to double the present capacity of the plant. ÅF Pöyry is responsible for project management, process and electrical design, installation and commissioning of a complete process line.

“With increased capacity at the Vlissingen factory, we will be able to better meet the growing demand from our customers in Europe. ÅF Pöyry’s expertise and experience from similar projects gives us great confidence for a successful project”, says Fredrik Gustavsson, Operations Director EMEA at Oatly.

“We are delighted that Oatly chooses ÅF Pöyry as the supplier for this project; it strengthens our collaboration and ÅF Pöyry’s role as a project supplier within the food and pharma industry”, says Robert Larsson, EVP and Head of Industrial & Digital Solutions Division.

The new process lines are expected to be operational in December 2020.
