ÅF signs 4-year contract as an 'A' supplier to Vattenfall - will lead to need for new recruitment

In its capacity as a leading technical consultant, ÅF has been working closely
with the Vattenfall energy group for a number of years. Now, when Vattenfall is
looking for strategic partners in the fields of nuclear power, hydropower and
windpower, an expansion of its collaboration with ÅF is the obvious course of
action.

ÅF has signed a four-year contract as an 'A' supplier to Vattenfall that runs
from 2011 to the end of 2014.

The agreement relates to the provision of technical consulting services in
everything from project management, analysis and investigations to technical
calculations and mechanical construction and design in all areas of technology.
The decisive factors behind the choice of ÅF as a strategic partner were ÅF's
track record of capacity and proven in-depth expertise across a broad spectrum
of technical disciplines, together with the company's eagerness to develop and
build upon its existing partnership with Vattenfall.

Even before this contract was signed, Vattenfall was already one of the ÅF
Group's major clients. Now, as a result of the new agreement, business with
Vattenfall is expected to expand significantly. One effect of this is that ÅF
intends to step up its recruitment of personnel with experience from the energy
sector to meet the increased demand from Vattenfall.
