AFRY acquires Suunnittelukide Oy, a Finnish engineering company in the infrastructure sector

AFRY has acquired Suunnittelukide Oy, a Finnish company providing engineering, construction contracting and supervision services for the infrastructure sector. The company is experts in bridge and special structures engineering. With this acquisition, AFRY will further strengthen its offering in Finland.

”Infrastructure is one of our key segments for growth and with this acquisition we will significantly strengthen our engineering competences in bridges and special structures. This will enable us to provide a more compelling and extensive service offering for our clients in the infrastructure sector in Finland,” says Mikko Inkala, Transportation Finland, AFRY.

Suunnittelukide Oy employs about 25 experts in the cities of Tampere, Turku, Kouvola, Seinäjoki and Jyväskylä in Finland. The company’s net sales in 2020 amounted to 34 MSEK.

Suunnittelukide Oy will be consolidated in AFRY Finland Oy as of April 1, 2021 and the company will continue its operations with its current brand during a transition period.
