AFRY will deliver the entire process project and utility engineering to extend the sustainable plant for Arla Götene, Sweden.
The client invests in the capacity of the plant to better handle the organic milk. The capacity of production will be doubled and contribute to the possibility to expand the organic range of products. The expansion of the plant includes the installation of a new whey process in a new building, as well as updating the existing milk treatment. In addition, AFRY is chosen as Arla’s engineering partner for all utility systems in the new building.
“We are proud of being chosen by the client in this project and to contribute to their sustainability work. It’s a proof of our ability to strengthen clients’ competitiveness and create value in large complex sustainable projects,” says Robert Larsson, EVP and Head of Industrial & Digital Solutions Division AFRY.
“We are constantly reviewing how we can secure the future of dairy and find greener and better solutions to be able to deliver good and sustainable products to all of Sweden. Every day, our farmer owners do an incredible job and with this investment we can contribute to continued growth for the organic range,” says Marika Lifbom, Senior Site Director, Arla Götene.
AFRY’s project team consists of experts from both Sweden and Denmark. The project will launch immediately, and the new plant is expected to be completed in 2023.
