AFRY has entered into a framework agreement with the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, and will, as one of four suppliers, deliver long-term IT development and support in system landscapes. The framework agreement aims to support the entire life cycle of various IT systems used by the authorities, from development to operation and support. The framework agreement has a term of three years, with the possibility of extension for an additional four years. The total value of the framework agreement for all four suppliers amounts to approximately SEK 1.5 billion over the entire contract period. The order value for AFRY is not specified.
"We are extremely proud to once again be entrusted by both the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV to deliver defence-critical services for a resilient and secure society, thereby helping to ensure Sweden's security and defence capability through digitalisation. With our expertise in IT and sustainable solutions, we are contributing to a stable and future-proof infrastructure," says Martin Öman, Head of Industrial & Digital Solutions at AFRY.
Through this framework agreement, the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV further enhance their capacity to ensure secure growth and development within IT and digitalisation, meeting the increased demands for secure, robust systems to support a safe and sustainable defence.
AFRY will provide IT services as well as a range of competencies and expertise in IT systems, testing of IT systems, and IT and information security to meet the authorities' needs through flexible and scalable reinforcements. The agreement will come into effect in the second quarter of 2025.
"We have collaborated with the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV in a variety of projects for more than 60 years across many disciplines. We now look forward to continuing our work and being part of their continued digitalisation journey, where we can contribute with our extensive expertise and partner network in the IT field," says Jens Andersson, Section Manager for Digital Services at AFRY.
