AFRY’s acquisition of Vahanen has been approved by competition authorities
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved AFRY’s acquisition of all shares in Vahanen Group. Closing is planned to take place at the beginning of January 2022 and Vahanen Group will be consolidated to AFRY as of January 1, 2022.
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved AFRY’s acquisition of all shares in Vahanen Group. Closing is planned to take place at the beginning of January 2022 and Vahanen Group will be consolidated to AFRY as of January 1, 2022.
As previously communicated, the acquisition will complement and grow AFRY’s construction and real estate business and service offering in Finland.
Vahanen Group is a technical consultant in the construction and real estate branch, offering a wide scope of services in property development and management, architecture, building services engineering, building supervision, surveys and inspections, energy and lifecycle management, as well as environmental consulting.
Vahanen’s net sales in 2020 were EUR 46.6 million, and the company employs about 500 people. With the acquisition of Vahanen, AFRY will increase its number of employees in Finland to about 2,800.
