Contract of OE services for EGAT

ÅF is awarded a new contract for extension of the Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant Lamtakong in Thailand.

ÅF in Switzerland signed a contract with EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand) for the Owner Engineering Consulting Services on installing units 3 and 4 for the Lamtakong Jolabha Vadhana Hydro Pump Storage Power Plant. EGAT is in charge to develop and operate the Lamtakong Pumped Storage Project.

Lamtakong started operation in 2002 with units 1 and 2 and installed capacity of 2x250MW. The current services of the extension are related to implementation of installing additional units 3 and 4 to double current installed capacity by 2x250MW.

ÅF’s OE services include the design review and project management, engineering and field services during the design, execution, testing commissioning and completion of the EPC works. ÅF’s main responsibility shall be to monitor, control, supervise and direct the EPC contractor selected by EGAT.
