AFRY appoints Henrik Tegnér as EVP and Head of Strategy & Sustainability. In this new role Henrik Tegnér will be part of the Group Executive Management and lead AFRYs strategic work to accelerate the transition to a sustainable society.
Henrik Tegnér is currently Head of AFRY Management Consulting Sweden. He was previously employed at Accenture, where he worked for more than 20 years, specialising in management consulting and the Nordic energy sector.
“Henrik Tegnér has long experience of transition in the energy sector and already runs large parts of AFRYs strategy work linked to sustainability issues, where digitalisation is also an increasingly clear component. Henrik is a team player and I look forward to welcoming him to the team, where he will contribute with his deep knowledge of sustainability, analytical ability and his forward-leaning leadership”, says Jonas Gustavsson, CEO of AFRY.
“I’m excited to take on this new role and I will to contribute to long-term strategic development, where sustainability is key to our clients’ business. At AFRY we have the expertise and experience to be able to guide our clients in the transition and I am looking forward to driving development forward together with my colleagues at AFRY”, says Henrik Tegnér.
Henrik Tegnér will take up his new role on 1 January 2022 and will then become part of AFRY’s Group Executive Management.
Establishing a combined strategy and sustainability role is a natural step, as sustainability is now a central part of the business strategy of more and more companies. The change is taking place as Marie Trogstam, current Head of Sustainability, moves on to a new role as Head of Department for Sustainability and Infrastructure at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
“Marie Trogstam, with her broad expertise in sustainability issues and clear vision, has contributed to building AFRYs position in sustainability to accelerate transition in society. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Marie for a fantastic contribution and wish her great success in the future”, says Jonas Gustavsson.
