Seventy female engineers with a Master degree in Electrical Engineering met at ÅF on October 13 in a joint venture between ÅF and an alumni network at KTH, Stockholm.

The participants ranged from students at KTH, to engineers with 35 years of working experience. Many happy reunions as some of these women hadn´t seen each other since graduation.

Cecilia Dreijer (Electronics Engineer herself) moderated the event where Ulrika Lundgren presented ÅF, Even Odds and why ÅF are aiming for more female on all levels. Elin Åhrberg talked about drive and personality and guided us all through a simplified personality test. Based on the result, the women discussed topics such as driving forces, life balance as well as female role models. The discussions later continued over food and drinks.

At the same time as Ladies´ Month, ÅF launches a music video to encourage more women to consider an engineering career. Old ways won’t open new doors. This is why ÅF connects with equality to create real progress. Watch our video and think about where you want to be in the future.
