Improved efficiency and quality of labeling process

AFRY has developed a solution to improve the Labeling Process at a Food Production Company which reduces administration, secures quality and increases efficiency.

The company has around 740 different article numbers in production and each product has different labels. The large number of products and labels generates complexity to the labeling process.

AFRY developed a visual tool to enable fast and reliable search of the labels that are required for each article number. When searching, a list of the required labels and their exact location in the layout is displayed.

The warehouse staff can easily see which labels to use and were in the layout they are located. There is a lower risk for quality issues thanks to the scanning function in combination with the visualization of the layout.

Connected to the previously administrative task to update stock levels in the ERP system, AFRY recommended an automated solution to manage the stock levels in the system. The positive effects of the automated setup in the ERP system are that the staff saves time by doing less administrative tasks.
