AFRY Saudi Arabia (formerly known as Pöyry Switzerland Limited) has extensive experience in construction supervision of large power plants, desalination, infrastructure and renewable energy projects. AFRY has been present in Saudi Arabia since 1973 with the intention of providing comprehensive locally-based engineering and consultancy services.

From initial planning and feasibility studies through design and implementation, AFRY Saudi Arabia has a proven track record of assignments as a consultant for several projects of Saudi Electricity Company and Saline Water Conversion Corporation and other private sector entities. AFRY was involved in the world’s largest combined power & desalination plant, Ras al-Khair, Saudi Arabia with 2.4 GW and 1,025,000 m3/d.

In line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, we understand the big picture of the energy transition and the role that renewable energy will play as an enabler of cross-sectoral emission reductions and in achieving a carbon-neutral economy. We are involved in a number of innovative development projects involving hybrid power production, energy storage, smart grids, e-mobility, green hydrogen production, and Power-to-X schemes.
