AFRY has been active in Malaysia since 1969, mainly in the Energy, Pulp and Paper and Forestry sectors. The local AFRY company (previously called “Pöyry Energy”) was founded in 2001.

AFRY's office is located in the central business district of Kuala Lumpur and operates in the main following business sectors in Malaysia:

• Energy: We are a leading power sector consulting & engineering company with over 100 power sector-related assignments executed in the country (Thermal Power, Hydropower, Biomass, Waste-to-Energy, Wind, Solar, Transmission & Distribution, Energy Management Consulting, LNG Terminals).
• Forestry and Pulp & Paper: We are a leading forestry and pulp and paper sector consulting & engineering company in the country.
