Avinor Oslo airport, Norway

Gearing up for growth at Gardermoen

AFRY has played a crucial part in the expansion of Avinor Oslo Airport, Norway’s main hub for air travel.

Avinor Oslo airport has increased its capacity from 23 to 30 million travellers per year, and to a maximum of 90 landings and take-offs per hour.

The expansion concerns a total of 142 000 square metres: A new terminal with 34 check-in desks, a 300 meter long pier with 17 gates, an adjacent arrivals and departure hall, new
taxi runways and a new railway station.

Avinor commissioned AFRY to oversee all project phases, from design, construction and purchasing to installations, testing, documentation, training, start-up and operational hand-over.
