Rebuild of offices into a hotel in central Stockholm. The 4 500 sqm property Fyrkanten 14 is situated at the intersection of Luntmakargatan and Apelbergsgatan near Hötorget square. The former office property, consisting of two buildings, have undergone substantial rebuild 2014-2015. The two buildings have been transformed into a hotel, designed to achieve a certification according to BREEAM In-Use.

During the extensive rebuild, all technical installations were replaced and several energy-saving measures implemented, transforming the old office building from the late 50's into a modern, environmentally certified hotel property.

AFRY's role as environmental coordinator included carrying out a preliminary study for the selection of environmental certification system, developing an environmental programme, in order to comply with the requirements of the BREEAM In-Use environmental certification (part 1) and the property owner’s own environmental requirements, and coordinating and supporting systems designers and the contractor, enabling them to meet environmental requirements.

The project was certified according to BREEAM In-Use and graded ”Very good”.
