NIO ES8 SUV
NIO is a strong start up in the electric vehicle market in China. From the very start of NIO in 2015, AFRY has been a partner in developing NIO’s first architecture and serial produced vehicle ES8.
ES8 is a 7-seater electric SUV and AFRY has played a crucial role in the development of the chassis systems and vehicle dynamics performance utilising skilled engineers from Sweden, China and India.
With unique competence in complete vehicle integration in conjunction with advanced simulation methods, AFRY could support NIO in shortening the development time considerably.
The work resulted in an advanced light weight wheel suspension in aluminium with state of the art air levelling system and adaptive dampers, as well as a high performance brake and steering system.
