By developing and managing a completely customised ERP-system to support Sortera’s end-to-end business needs and future vision, AFRY enhances recycling processes through IT.
Sortera Group is an environmental company, which includes the brands Bigbag and Åkerisäcken. It’s the leading player in construction and civil waste in Sweden with around 300 employees. They operate all over the country with services that consist of bag pick-up, delivery of trash bags, containers and vessels, recycling and delivery of materials. They needed an ERP-system that can manage everything from orders, transport and planning, pick-up and delivery as well as invoicing and waste reports.

Sortera now has a system that is highly efficient - it reduced the time required to create a new order and to plan routes roughly by one third respectively, and Sortera has cut cost by reducing work force. The benefits also include reduced amount of mistakes made, better control of overall planning situation. Also, smarter route planning has made Sortera’s operations more environmental friendly (approx. 350 trucks on optimised routes) at a lower cost.
