Quality in Project Helios

AFRY acted as Quality Assurance Department in Project Helios

The expansion of SCA Örstrand is one of the biggest industrial investments of all time in Sweden. Project Helios has doubled the production of bleached softwood sulphate pulp and comprised eight subprojects.

AFRY was responsible for the quality function of the projects with consultants as: Site Quality Manager (SQM), Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)

The assignment included review of quality documents and recommendations during start-up and implementation. AFRY did the supplier assessment and audit of manufacturing suppliers, situated in Asia and Europe.

During installation AFRY acted assembly inspectors and experts as third party reference to the suppliers reports on deviations from contract, standards and drawings and reported status to the project management. AFRY also monitored quality deficiency costs and supported in warranty issues and reclaims
