Stockholm New is a district consisting of climate-smart, flexible office buildings in Hammarby Sjöstad. Stage 1 includes two buildings, and AFRY has been commissioned to perform the project engineering.
Stockholm New is an area in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm, where Skanska is building sustainable and flexible offices. Here, companies will enjoy a unique location and direct access to the waterside. The buildings are designed to be adaptable according to individual requirements, which means that all technical systems need to meet increased specifications.
AFRY is in charge of designing the ventilation, heating, cooling and sanitation. AFRY also performs energy and climate calculations, enabling the building to be LEED certified, and contributes with lighting design. All technical systems are characterised by simplicity, energy efficiency, consistency and flexibility.
Ulrika Norberg, planning manager at Skanska Sweden AB, explains why they chose AFRY as a partner.
"The teams at AFRY are competent, responsive and communicative. In addition, AFRY has many core competencies and a wide base, which is something that we particularly appreciate and value."
