The AFRY Smart Platform has been built from open-source components to ensure competitive pricing and continued development of its key parts: Node-Red programming and Grafana visualisation.
With low coding, any engineer who can develop an Excel spreadsheet can convert their expertise into an online tool. Instead of carrying out complex IT projects, plant personnel can create all simple use cases themselves and without expensive external help.
Grafana is one of the best and most customisable visualisation software on the market. Creating a dashboard of any kind takes no time at all, and the only limit is the user's creativity.
The AFRY Smart Platform comes without a vendor lock-in and is completely transparent. The client can develop their own applications on it or deploy third-party solutions. Additionally, it can be set up as a “hosting platform” so that all external applications must run on it, allowing full control and ownership of all client’s own data.
The AFRY Smart Platform is deployed on Industrial Edge, which not only securely connects industrial processes to the cloud, but also enables the integration of operational systems into the office network. Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions can also be programmed on the AFRY Smart Platform: the results of the advanced analytics can provide setpoints that are passed directly to process automation. This is the way to automate the decision-making of human operators, enabling a gradual journey towards autonomous operation of the plant.
