Energy audits for large companies

Energy audits for large companies

The law requires that large companies perform energy audits. Help is at hand from AFRY’s certified energy auditors.

In keeping with the EU Energy Efficiency Directive, all large companies in member countries must carry out energy audits. In Sweden, this applies to companies with 250 employees and an annual turnover of 50 million euros or more.

Each company is required to present a report detailing its total energy usage and how it is accounted for by the separate parts of its operations. The report should also contain suggestions for cost efficient improvement measures. Every fourth year, a new report is to be produced, in which the results are evaluated, the energy usage verified and new improvement measures suggested. Reports must either be produced by a certified energy auditor, or within the framework of the ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 energy and environmental management systems.

In energy audits, certified specialists from AFRY can provide companies with valuable assistance. We ensure that methods and results comply with current requirements. We collate information, analyse measurings and statistics and identify any technical or organisational problems. We can also suggest appropriate improvement measures and help implement them. The purpose is to improve energy consumption, while also reducing operating costs and environmental impact.
