Supply Chain Sustainability Assessment for industry

Overview Arrow pointing right

Supply Chain Sustainability Assessment is a comprehensive service targeted to evaluate the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of a supply chain for industrial clients.

The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDD) marks a new chapter in business responsibility. Companies must now tackle the real and potential negative impacts on human rights and the environment throughout their value chains as they operate in the global landscape - both within and beyond Europe. A risk-based approach is essential to meet these challenges head-on.

By assessing ESG risks and opportunities, companies can proactively manage their impact, mitigate risks and ensure human rights and environment-related objectives.

In addition to evaluating ESG performance, AFRY's Supply Chain Sustainability Assessment service also enhances awareness of potential negative environmental and human rights impacts. The service can be tailored to the entire supply chain or focus on a specific supplier.

In case of deficiencies in ESG performance, adverse impacts may include human rights issues such as forced labour, child labour, inadequate occupational health and safety (OHS) or technical safety, exploitation of workers, and environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, or biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation.

According to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the companies must assess their subcontractor and client relationships, and the entire value chain to meet sustainability requirements.
