Test Center
We uncover the true capabilities of your products
Test Center is your trusted partner for advanced testing and verification services. As an accredited testing facility, we deliver structured, reliable, and impartial evaluations of your products' performance and durability.
Every material and component has its limits. Our mission is to identify those limits through rigorous testing. We expose test objects to mechanical fatigue, thermal stress, pressure, abrasion, and other demanding conditions. By applying both destructive and non-destructive testing methods, we ensure comprehensive insights into product behaviour under real-world scenarios.
The result: Actionable data. Our test reports provide high-quality, traceable data that support product development, validation of simulation models, investment decisions, and quality assurance processes.
Our purpose is clear: To help you understand what your products are truly made of—and how they perform when it matters most.
When is Test Center the right partner?
Test Center is the ideal testing and verification partner when:
- Internal testing resources are overloaded. If your in-house testing organisation is facing long lead times, we offer a fast and reliable alternative to accelerate time-to-market for your products and components.
- Testing within Swedish borders is a requirement. Whether due to regulatory, logistical, or strategic reasons, we provide accredited testing services locally in Sweden.
- You lack internal capacity, equipment, or specialised expertise. We complement your organisation with advanced testing infrastructure and experienced engineers to perform complex or large-scale tests.
- Independent third-party testing is required. We meet demands for impartial verification from customers, regulatory authorities, or compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC standards.
Test Center helps you reduce lead times and minimise risks in your development
Our Test Lab - Testing Since 1988
Located in Borlänge, Dalarna, our accredited test laboratory has been a central part of our operations since 1988, with mechanical testing as a core competence. We apply both destructive and non-destructive testing methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of material and component behaviour under various conditions.
Our team possesses deep technical expertise and long-standing experience in testing and verifying mechanical properties of components, subsystems, and assemblies—primarily within vehicles, industrial machinery, and other engineered systems. We combine advanced equipment with proven methodologies to deliver reliable, traceable, and high-quality test results.
Our Test Center is independent and accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025:2018, and we work with all types of industries
This is what our process looks like:
Test Center customises tests and testing environments based on what you want to discover about your test objects.
Our Testing Services
- Functional Testing
- Fatigue Testing
- Measurement Technology and Field Testing
- Torsion Testing
- Static Testing
- Environmental Testing
- Non-Destructive Testing
- Welding Tests
- Rail Bend Testing
- Pulsation Testing
Functional testing includes performance and functionality tests for both mechanical and electromechanical products.
- Fatigue testing is performed to determine the lifespan of a component or structure. We conduct both accredited and customized fatigue testing.
- Using our modular beam mechanics, we assemble tailored test rigs based on the desired boundary conditions and force and/or position levels. Our hydraulic cylinders handle forces up to 2000 kN, and we utilize advanced control systems from MTS for monitoring and control.
We plan and execute the installation of sensors as well as measurements on various types of vehicles and structures. With access to a wide range of measurement systems, we can handle measurements requiring a large number of measurement channels.
In our metrology workshop, we install strain gauges and other sensors on components from different customers. If needed, we can also assist in developing custom load cells and sensors.
We perform both static and fatigue torsion testing on components such as shafts.
Static testing of components up to 1500 kN in tensile load and 2000 kN in compressive load. Our expertise also includes static testing of materials.
- In our climate chambers, we can simulate all conceivable climates and verify both mechanics and electronics. The temperature range for our climate chambers is -70 to +180 °C, with relative humidity up to 98%. For testing at higher temperatures, we also have ovens up to 475 °C.
- Environmental testing is performed according to the customer's own test specifications or various standard methods such as IEC 60068-2-30, IEC 60068-2-38, or IEC 60068-2-78.
- We offer non-destructive testing including ultrasonic testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, visual inspection, and X-ray testing. X-rays can be performed both digitally and with traditional film.
- Our staff is certified according to ISO 9712, and all mentioned NDT methods are accredited for welding.
For the certification of welders and welding procedures, mechanical destructive testing of welds is required. We are accredited in several methods, such as tensile testing, impact testing, bend testing, fracture testing, rail bend testing, hardness measurement, macro examination, and more, for welds
We perform rail bend testing on welded rails according to both TDOK 2014:0587 and TDOK 2014:0586. The testing is part of the certification process for railway welders and railway welding procedures.
We perform various types of pulsation testing and can tailor the testing to customer requirements, for example, by combining pulsation testing with temperature changes or movements. We pulse both air (0-15 bar) and various fluids (0-30, 0-200 bar) such as coolant and oil
