E-mobility after COVID-19: challenges and opportunities
When
Transportation is one of the largest sources of CO2 and other emissions, so electrifying parts of the transportation sectors has been identified as a key contributor to combating climate change and air quality issues. As a result, the electro-mobility sector has grown and new players and business models have emerged.
However, the debate around e-mobility has already shifted as a result of COVID-19, with some developments put on hold whilst others have been accelerated.
On 14 May 2020, we partnered with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner to explore what lasting impact the pandemic and subsequent crisis could have on the e-mobility sector. AFRY were joined by Chris Darby (ev.energy) and Ian Johnston (Engenie) to discuss the challenges for OEMs, charging providers and future mobility.
