ICOLD 2024 annual meeting and international symposium on Dams for People, Water, Environment & Development
The mission of ICOLD is setting standards and guidelines to ensure that dams and levees are built and operated safely, efficiently, economically, and are environmentally sustainable and socially equitable.
The theme of the 92nd ICOLD 2024 International Symposium is "Dams for People, Water, Environment & Development," with emphasis on the critical role of dams in sustainable development and environmental protection.

Dr. Marco Conrad, Expert RCC and Concrete Dams
Chairman ICOLD Committee D “Concrete Dams”
Dr. Marco Conrad has more than 20 years of experience in dam engineering and construction, predominantly through international hydropower projects in Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe and is specialized in Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dams with experience in the different RCC philosophies, methodologies, and their specifics. His passion extends into sustainable infrastructure planning, life cycle analysis and circular economy in the dams and hydro sector.
Mr. Sai Krishna Seela, Managing Director & Country Manager
Mr. Seela’s extensive experience encompasses all phases of conventional hydropower and pumped storage projects from concept to commissioning involving activities such as project planning, prefeasibility studies, feasibility studies (DPR/ FSR), tender designs & documents, detailed design, construction supervision. He has executed a number of projects for various plant owners, EPC contractors and financial institutions. His experience extends to hydropower projects of all sizes and types located in various countries in Asia and Africa such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, Nigeria, Rwanda, Afghanistan.
Satish Sehta, Head Business Development & Sales
Satish has more than 25 years of experience in Business Growth, Project Management, Business Development & Sales, Planning, Contracts, Skills Development and Financial aspects of the project with pronounced/specific understanding in the fields of hydro projects in domestic and international markets. Satish is a Fellow from Institution of Civil Engineers – UK (FICE) and Vice-Chair of the Fellowship Committee of ICE-UK.
