Efterklang is awarded two Red Dot Design Awards 2022
Efterklang, part of AFRY, is a leader in sound design and consists of engineers, designers and technical specialists in sound. Efterklang has been awarded two Red Dot Design Awards in the discipline Brand & Communication Design 2022 for The Yale Audio Experience for ASSA ABLOY and for the sound environment at Vasakronan’s co-working concept and headquarters Arena Sergel.
Efterklang, part of AFRY, is a leader in sound design and consists of engineers, designers and technical specialists in sound. Efterklang has been awarded two Red Dot Design Awards in the discipline Brand & Communication Design 2022 for The Yale Audio Experience for ASSA ABLOY and for the sound environment at Vasakronan’s co-working concept and headquarters Arena Sergel.
Efterklang has extensive experience in designing and adding sound to places, brands and products to amplify emotional reactions, complement visual impressions and enhance user experiences. Because of this, Efterklang was entrusted the projects for ASSA ABLOY and Vasakronan.
The Yale Audio Experience is a unique sound concept to be used in all customer touchpoints, from interaction sounds in products to marketing communications. Yale is a world-leading brand within lock manufacturing and part of ASSA ABLOY.
Arena Sergel consists of 22 000 square meters of co-working space as well as Vasakronan’s own headquarters. Efterklang was commissioned to create a functional and attractive sound environment that meets the needs, functions and flows in the various office areas. The key has been a well-balanced interplay between function and well-being, where the sound design is thought through down to the smallest detail.
The projects are each awarded a Red Dot due to their originality and creativity, design quality and innovation as well as emotional significance.

The Red Dot Award is an international design award for good design. With roughly 20,000 entries every year, the Red Dot Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. In three disciplines, the contestants submit products, communication projects, concepts, prototypes or brands in the hope of winning a so-called Red Dot – an internationally recognized seal for design excellence.
Winners have been selected by an expert jury and the winning projects will be presented at the Red Dot Gala in Berlin on October 28th.
