AFRY, previously known as Pöyry, has been implementing projects in CIS countries since 1995. With more than 25 years of experience in the region, AFRY established its branch office in Yerevan in 2019.

With more than 25 employees, AFRY Armenia provides engineering and consultancy services to clients at all levels of the project lifecycle including feasibility, detailed design, construction supervision and commissioning. Our local engineers and experts also support AFRY Switzerland in the energy, infrastructure, water and environment sectors applying the latest digital and state-of-the-art innovations and providing services to clients in the private and public sector worldwide.

With decades of experience in the region, AFRY Armenia has a long tradition of providing hydropower consulting and engineering services to clients in Armenia as well as other CIS countries, i.e. Tajikistan and Georgia. This tradition is based on a good understanding of the regional characteristics and the very specific challenges for hydropower and infrastructure development in the CIS countries.

Due to the significant involvement in the largest hydro projects in the region, AFRY Armenia has strong connections to the local and regional authorities and our extensive experience equips us to exceed our local and international clients’ expectations.
