Batteries on top of each other

Exploring the Utility Storage Battery Supply Chain

As global demand for batteries grows rapidly, Europe’s energy storage battery supply chain faces several challenges, and the current “Take–Make–Waste” economic model of the sector is becoming increasingly unsustainable. However, by learning from neighbouring industries and responding to technical and societal advances, we can begin the pivotal transition towards a carbon-neutral circular battery economy.

This webinar explores the vulnerabilities of the battery supply chain, affecting mining, raw material processing, and cell & module production, as well as application, re-using, and recycling. We evaluate how storage providers can improve the resilience of their battery supply chains through ‘Traditional’, ‘Alternative’, and ‘Circular’ measures. Lastly, we detail what actions must be taken to realise the change from a linear economy to a carbon-neutral circular economy.
