Beautiful Roads Award 2018 in Norway

ÅF Lighting designed the unique road lighting for the nominated project: E6 Kolomoen–Minnesund.

The E6 Highway in Norway is nominated for the “Beautiful Roads Award” (“Vakre veger”) in Norway. ÅF Lighting designed the overall concept for the road lighting on the 100 km stretch running from Oslo’s main airport Gardermoen to the municipality of Biri.

Our concept is called ‘Pulse’ and involves illuminating characteristic features - natural as well as man-made constructions, along the motorway. This creates a natural rhythm and draws attention to the pulse of the journey through the landscape, which increases wakefulness and concentration in drivers.
