Swedish Lighting Award 2018

ÅF Lighting was awarded an honorable mention for the lighting design project "Grand Hôtel – The Winter Garden" at this year’s edition of Ljusdagen in Stockholm.

The Winter Garden was among the three finalists competing for the Swedish Lighting Award this year. Yesterday, during a festive event at Berns in Stockholm, our Project Manager and Chief Lighting Designer, Oscar Nyström, got to present the project in front of an audience and the judges.

We are proud to announce that our project received special recognition by the judges in an honorable mention with the following statement:

"The skillfully executed lighting design highlights the architecture of the historic room. Details like pillars, arches and balustrades have been lit with perfect precision. The end result gives a strong experience as a whole and can also be admired in the smallest details. The world class light projections provide an additional dimension with endless possibilities to create fictional, imaginative environments".
