AFRY celebrates its second consecutive win as the technical adviser of the year for infrastructure and energy projects in Asia-Pacific

AFRY has been awarded the Technical Adviser of the Year for APAC at the prestigious IJ Global Awards 2023 during the ceremony held in Singapore on the 17th April, 2024.

The IJ Global Awards recognise the most ground-breaking and innovative achievements in greenfield financing and refinancing deals across the infrastructure and energy industry worldwide.

This accolade recognises AFRY’s position as a leading engineering and consultancy company in the region and a premier partner in the Asia Pacific, providing services in the sectors of energy, industry, and infrastructure. The international panel of judges of the IJ Global Awards 2023, all of them established professionals in the infrastructure and energy markets, praised AFRY's expertise and experience in providing technical advisory services for complex and challenging projects in Asia-Pacific.

During the ceremony, a number of important projects that AFRY has supported as Technical Adviser were also awarded in different categories:

Syrdarya II: PPP Deal of the Year – Power – APAC
The largest private power project in Uzbekistan and the first public-private partnership in the power sector.
Project Monsoon: Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Onshore Wind – APAC
The largest wind power project in Southeast Asia and the first-ever wind energy project in Laos.
China Tianying—Vietnam: Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Waste-to-Energy – APAC
Vietnam’s largest operating waste-to-energy plant, and one of the largest in APAC, that treats and converts about 5,000 tons of waste into energy every day.
