Optimisation of grid connection applications for a German TSO
A significant increase in grid connection applications required a German TSO to create a more efficient grid connection process. AFRY developed an end-to-end target process for grid connections with stakeholder engagement across senior management and connection specialists. Detailed cost-benefit analysis and an implementation plan to improve grid connection processes saw the client accelerate process lead times by over a year per connection, increasing process efficiency whilst also improving the customer service focus for grid connections
Digital transformation roadmap for Austrian utility
A disparate and fragmented use of digital tools for an Austrian utility, driven by quick adoption and innovation in the market, required a strategy for overhauling existing manual processes and integrating the use of digital tools. AFRY implemented a collaborative departmental approach for a digital transformation roadmap, assessing the current use of digital tools and future requirements to create an easy-to-implement roadmap with reporting capabilities. This improved company wide awareness and buy-in to the jointly developed roadmap, with clear action items allowing immediate commencement of digital integration.
Project Management for Finnish Software Technology Company
The strategic priorities for 2021-2025 of a Finnish software technology company required support for translating strategy into concrete development projects. AFRY supported refinement of the strategic objectives, defining annual and quarterly objectives for the software company, in conjunction with developing a portfolio of projects to meet priorities. This provided a structured means to drive development work, which included the creation of a governance structure, custom tools and work processes and portfolio status reports, enabling progression towards strategic objectives and effective progress reporting.
